The L1 Compact system combines a conventional front speaker and stage monitor into an elegant unit. Placed behind or next to the artist, DJ or presenter, it offers sound coverage that is both broad and homogeneous throughout the stage and in the audience, even at the back of the room. It is our most compact, lightest L1 system (just over 13 kg) and the easiest to install.

A different enclosure

The L1 Compact system’s compact speaker delivers clear, consistent sound throughout the room using Bose Spatial Dispersion technology. Its unusual vertical configuration distinguishes it from conventional front speakers and significantly improves sound coverage. At the back of the room and at the ends of the stage, the sound is just as clear and balanced.
The L1 Compact system's enclosure is smaller than that of the L1 Model I and Model II systems, but provides comparable horizontal sound coverage. The L1 Model I and Model II speakers project sound further with less volume attenuation than the L1 Compact system.
An integrated system

With the L1 Compact system, you do not need to carry an amp, mixer or bass module: Everything is integrated. The amplifier base of the system integrates a subwoofer, an amplifier and a mixer, making a total of four inputs and two outputs.
Channel 1 is a microphone input with a custom ToneMatch preset for a dynamic handheld microphone. This preset automatically optimizes the microphone sound used with the L1 Compact system. Channel 2 accepts up to three inputs at a time (guitar, keyboard or any other instrument, DJ mixer, MP3 player, laptop, projector, etc.). It incorporates a custom ToneMatch preset that optimizes the sound of an acoustic guitar.

Characteristics

Spatial Dispersion ™ speaker technology incorporates six small speakers mounted at a precise angle in a compact vertical enclosure. This exclusive technology from Bose offers horizontal sound coverage of almost 180 degrees. The sound remains homogeneous even at the back of the room.
The mixer built into the power stand has an XLR microphone input on channel 1. Channel 2 includes an instrument input, an RCA stereo input, and a 3.5mm stereo input. Both channels have two-color clip LEDs, volume control and a custom ToneMatch preset. The rear panel includes a 6.35 mm balanced line output and an RCA stereo output.
The power amplifier integrated into the base provides power and a clean and precise amplification of the speaker and the L1 Compact bass module.
The front speaker and the stage monitor are grouped in a light and ultra-portable system. Bose’s exclusive technology allows the system to be positioned directly behind or next to the artist, eliminating the need for separate front speakers, stage monitors, and mixers.
Exclusive ToneMatch presets optimize the L1 Compact system for a dynamic hand microphone (channel 1) or an acoustic guitar (channel 2).
The two installation options, expanded (199.5 cm high) and reduced (41.8 cm high), allow you to customize the sound coverage of the system according to the room or event. For large rooms, use the enclosure extensions provided to raise the assembly. For small committees or groups, slide the speaker into the power stand, into the space provided, and place the system on a table.
The robust and light nestable elements are easy to transport and dismantle. The power stand weighs just 11.2 kg, and the entire system 13.3 kg (including speaker and extensions). You don't need speaker cables, stands, or bass modules. The entire system installs in less than a minute.
