The Focal Elear hi-fi headphones are an open circum-aural model, featuring M aluminum and magnesium Focal transducers.
Focal Elear: M-membrane domes
Focal Elear's first high-end model, the Focal Elear is also the first helmet of the French manufacturer to benefit from a new kind of transducer. As a leading professional in the design and manufacture of loudspeakers, Focal has been working for months on a loudspeaker optimized for operation in close proximity to the ear. Since the diffusion constraints are different from those of an acoustic enclosure, Focal has designed a new membrane, called M. This transducer made of aluminum and magnesium benefits from the acoustic work carried out on the flagship of the range, the Focal Utopia helmet.
The Focal Elear hi-fi headphones feature a leather hoop and microfiber pads with a 2 cm thick memory foam. Comfort is one of the advantages of this helmet. In addition, the mechanical design of the Focal Elear allows an excellent adaptation to all the morphologies. The 4 m detachable cable is made of OFC copper with a very low impedance.
The Focal Elear hi-fi headphones are eloquent, with a frequency response from 5 Hz to 23 kHz. Its sensitivity of 104 dB for 1 mW, combined with its impedance of 80 Ohms, prefers it to powerful amplifiers.
